Half a minute through one of our jobs, filmed on a phone rather than staged for a brochure. The same plank flooring runs from the kitchen through the hallway and into the bathroom, cut in around the units, the doorways and the skirting.

Another job, again filmed on a phone rather than staged. It opens on the bare subfloor with a single plank in hand, then follows the finished herringbone through the kitchen, the open living space and the cloakroom. Every piece is cut in around the units, the door linings and the skirting.
Herringbone takes longer to lay than a straight plank, because it has to be set out from a centre line and cut in at every edge. In a run of rooms like this one, it is worth the extra day.
